Manipulation can be conducted by individuals, by automated accounts or algorithms, and by combinations of people and automation. It should be noted that technical exploitation often uses a technological advantage to perform quite traditional information influence techniques such as Deceptive Identities, Disinformation and forgery. It includes: Bots, Sock Puppet, Deep Fakes, Phishing etc.
