Public Management and Administration Under Hybrid Threats
Overall, I personally think that in future this subject should be studied not only in Master degree programs, but also as a mandatory subject in middle and high schools with the same game-like approach. Studying the value of the filtered information, the dangers of propaganda and fake or manipulative Internet and TV content, the skill of being able to look farther into things will be essential in every life so it can be better to start early with that. Not all at once, of course, but to introduce children gradually to this life-changing concepts. I believe, it’s every person’s right to be taught new important life skills as they become more and more needed in our society and this course does this greatly.
I am very grateful to “Hybrid threats…” course for showing me even more of how the world works on real examples, for preparing me to be a smarter person and a more insightful citizen. And I wish this course and its creators immense luck and support in its progress and expansion.
- Cultural practices and hybrid threats.
- Values, their classification and value as a type of cultural activity to counter hybrid threats.
The practical shootings and discussions of the topics were extremely interesting: ---- Cultural trauma, cultural shock and strategies for overcoming them. Cultural genocide and manipulative practices of cultural genocide in the real and virtual environment.
It is important for a modern manager in the field of culture to have knowledge of identifying, creating and implementing cultural practices to overcome hybrid threats and to be able to put them into practice. It was also interesting to master the skills of using methods and techniques for creating cultural practices, the tasks of which are to overcome hybrid threats.
Thank you very much to our professor Olga Rafailivna Kopiievska for this study programme and course.
The course provides an opportunity to delve into the complex aspects of the interaction between culture and modern hybrid threats, exploring a variety of approaches and strategies that can be used to counter these threats. By studying real and virtual scenarios, we gained practical skills and knowledge that will help us recognize, analyze and effectively respond to potential threats.
Along with this, we got acquainted with the best examples of using cultural practices and resources of cultural institutions to counteract external influences on the cultural component of Ukrainian society.
We also improved our own skills in critical thinking, intercultural communication and the use of cultural markers to recognize potential threats.
Overall, the course provides an opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills in countering hybrid threats, which is extremely important in the modern world.
The course was structured logically and systematically, which allowed us to understand the complex aspects of hybrid learning.
I especially liked that the teacher actively used interactive teaching methods, such as discussions, group tasks and practical exercises. This allowed us to better absorb the material and share our own thoughts and experiences.
The practical exercises were extremely useful, helping to apply theoretical knowledge in practice. This allowed me not only to obtain a theoretical basis, but also to enrich my skills in real situations.
Overall, the course "Hybrid (asymmetric) opposition in the information-cultural and cognitive space" by Tetyana Reva turned out to be very fruitful and informative. I gained many new ideas and tools that I will need in my further educational and professional activities.
I consider this subject to be absolutely important, relevant and one that should be taught to current applicants.
The course helps students gain a deeper understanding of how cultural aspects can influence conflicts, as well as how sociocultural initiatives can contribute to peace and intercultural understanding.
The course also helps students consider the challenges and prospects of sociocultural partnership in conflict situations and think about what opportunities may arise for overcoming conflicts through cultural cooperation.
Given that the world is in a state of constant transformation, it is crucial to understand how cultural practices can serve as effective tools to counter emerging threats.
In pairs, we analyzed various practices and explored options for their practical application.
This discipline, therefore, plays a significant role in fostering a sustainable society capable of effectively resisting hybrid threats while preserving its cultural heritage.
Moreover, during the course, I encountered many new terms that I plan to incorporate into my professional field in the future.
We gained invaluable knowledge about cultural diplomacy, media culture, intercultural communication, and technologies. This encouraged us not only to reflect on our cultural roots but also to find new methods and tools to support and sustain them.
I am deeply grateful for the insights shared through this course. Personally, I discovered how this discipline has opened up fresh avenues for creative expression. It inspired me to view cultural origins as a wellspring of creative energy and innovation.
Therefore, I sincerely hope this discipline becomes a "winged horse" that carries us into the world of cultural diversity and harmony!
